Arrack

The fermented and distilled product of palm juice, raisins, and dates. Arrack has a very strong and distinctive aroma, somewhat similar to rum, and is used in desserts and candies. It is made with different ingredients depending on the country in which it is produced. Some recipes include fermented rice, molasses, anise seed, and palm sap.
